AI PRACTICE • DESERT PIXELS CREATIVE

AI is a tool.

Not a solution.

Two years of daily practice across ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, Runway, and custom Python pipelines — built to answer one question: does it survive a real production? Some of it does. A lot of it doesn't. Here's what I've learned.

THE POSITION

Generative AI accelerates human judgment. It doesn't replace it. The tools move fast. Taste moves slower. The creative director's job got harder, not easier — more curation, more direction, more decisions about what gets made and why. You can't automate the call about whether something is good.

What you can automate is the work between vision and execution: variation passes, reference exploration, temp assets, previs, the blank-page problem. That's where these tools belong — in the middle of the process, not at the end of it.
